| Urinary Crystals Prevention Help Hi All I'm looking for some advice. Snoop has had two operations in the last 5 years to have crystals removed. After the first op, he was put on the tins of "Hills SD Urinary". This food seemed to work for about 2years, until late last year he got so bad, he needed his second operation. He is now on a diet of mince, boiled veg (except Green veg) & half a Rennie tablet everyday & he doing good. But here are my questions. 1. I can only get him to eat turnips & carrots, raw as a snack & cooked for dinner. Could anyone suggest any safe veg I could try him with? 2. For a second opinion, can someone tell me what are the implications of my baby having to get a third operation. My vet is really good & has done a huge amount of bloods/urine etc... but Im worried sick that he might not be able to survive a third operation Sorry for the long winded explanation & questions. I hope someone can give me some good advice. Thanks, Ciarán |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Wish I knew more about stones, but I just haven't had to deal with them, luckily. Have you tried cauliflower...mine just love it! Also, what about green beans? Since you're homecooking, you may want to try www.balanceit.com for a custom anti-stone recipe for your kiddo. I know diet can be key with this issue!

| Yes, my vet sent bloods, urine & stones to his own lab. That's how he came upon his mince beef, veg & half a rennie tab. Thanks 107barney Im looking to add more variety in his diet. He eats cauliflower now and again, but only raw as a treat. Thanks for the suggestion Wylie's Mom!! |

| Google "fuzzer food diet". I don't know if it would work for your pup (it depends on the type of stones) but I know a couple of people that use it and swear by it. Diana |
