| Black dots on belly? Hi guys. I recently found small black dots all over Hashie's lower belly and surrounding one of her nipples? There are also a few bitelike red marks on the part where her leg joins the body. I've attached pictures. Could this be ticks or fleas? She has gotten ticks before, as we live in a tropical climate thats infested with ticks. I've never seen fleas on her or in the house. What could these black dots be? Could they be allergies? An infection? Please help |

| Zoey has had some black dots before. She doesn't have fleas. I took a Q Tip with baby oil and rubbed on the dot. It came off. I still don't what they were. We were at the vet's two days ago and there were no dots.

| I'm thinking it's flea poo residue. I've read that you can wash them I'm dawn and flea well jump off if she has any. Or sometimes you can see them, sparkle still has her baby hair so I can't really see them. Good luck |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Lots of dogs tummy skin gets a little inflamed (or, a lot inflamed if they have recurrent skin issues) and get lots of black-dot areas...so it may just be that.

| Put a little water on the dots. If reddish-brown liquid runs off, it's dried blood, probably from flea droppings. Only your vet will know for sure. |
