| I don't free feed. I fee 3x aday as much as she wants. Why I don't free feed. its easier to potty train. She will go 20 mins after she eats. Like clock work. Easier to train that way. Took me 3 days to gt he to hit the potty pad. She is 100% when baby gated in the family room. Where we always are. When we go about the house no so much I need to watch her. I let her eat then when she stops I pic it up 10 min later. |

| That doesn't necessarily mean she's eating to much. What are you feeding and how much does she weigh?

| I free feed all my babies and suggest to all my new parents to continue to free feed puppies until 6-8 months of age. Puppies need all the fuel they can ingest, as they are using calories to grow cells and develop strong healthy bodies. You may also run into hypoglycemic issues with holding food for extended periods of time, in a young baby. When they get to be 6-8 months old, you can then start shifting your focus from eating and developing, to potty training. This is done differently by everyone....I dont like restricting meals to 3 times a day, and a regimented amount of time to eat at those three specified meal times for a baby....when they get a little age on them, fine, but not a puppy, whose appetite is not stabilized or regimented....what if you feed 3 times a day, and he is not ready to eat his breakfast....you give him so many minutes to eat, but he is happy to be alive and awake and is not ready to eat...so food comes up and does not go back down until 4-6 hours later???? he may eat a little then but being a puppy, dart off to play.....food comes up and not offered again for another 4-6 hours?? I just do not feel that is what is best for the baby....may make it easier for ME to guestimate potty times, but is the baby getting enough to eat? Like I said, when older, more aqcceptable, but a baby??? Last edited by Yorkiemom1; 02-25-2015 at 08:29 PM. |

| Fwiw always keep the package. Fromms never had a recall. But if they did or any dog food has. Its the only way you will know if yours was involved. Also its better to store the dog food in the manufactures packaging. I put a little in a container for the week but leave the rest in the bag. I thing the grain free surf and turf is easier on there stomach vs the lamb or beef. Moki doesn't do well with beef. But all dogs are different |

| The bag says 1/2 a cup to 1 and 1/3 a cup a day. Their website says you can contact them for help on how much to feed.
