| Maltese/Yorkie - GI issues? In late January, we made the decision with our vet to change our little girl (Davie Pierson) from Royal Canin Mini Puppy to RC Mini Adult food. She has always eaten like she was being starved, but had recently slowed on weight gain and the vet thought it was a good time. Fast forward to February 10th - Our girl had been a little "fickle" about eating for a few days. That morning, she ate her breakfast then threw up a few minutes later. She was heading to day camp at our vet office so they checked her out. She got an x-ray and some meds after her belly appeared to have some gas. On Wednesday night/Thursday morning of last week, our girl wouldn't eat. She wouldn't' eat food or treats or even peanut butter (she loves PB on a spoon!). I immediately took her to our vet and asked that they check her out. She ended up having an x-ray and ultrasound after they were unable to get her to eat, etc. It appears that our baby has an extremely sensitive tummy. She has a very thick stomach lining and somewhat thick intestinal lining. We have her on Hill's i/d until Monday (recheck), along with several other prescriptions to help her belly. Does anyone else have a sensitive tummy pup? What do you feed your child? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Hi and welcome to YT. I'm so sorry your little precious one isn't feeling well - I hope you're able to resolve it soon, poor little thing. I just hate it when they're not feeling well. Do you think the new food is helping? How old is she, btw? Some dogs w/ tummy issues here find that Reglan is helpful...you can get it from the vet.
