| Anyone else feed their yorkie 4 Health brand?? I feed my yorkie 4 Health brand in the Small Bites. I get it at Tractor Supply. I have her spoiled lol she likes it soaked in a little bit of warm water first then I give her really cold fresh water. Does anyone else feed their yorkie this brand?? I was just wondering. It has better ingredients than some name brands including Royal Canin but is very inexpensive unlike them!! large 4Health Dog Food | Review and Rating

| I do. I have 6 dogs ( 3 Yorkies, 2 Standard Poodles and a Lhasa Apso) so i can't afford the really expensive dog foods. I recently switched them all over to the Salmon formula because I think one of my Poodles has a chicken allergy and it's just easier to feed everybody the same thing. I've fed the 4 health brand off and over the last couple of years with no problems. The only reason I switched for awhile was because I got lazy about making trips to Tractor Supply but it's cheaper and I feel like it's a better food than I had been feeding them.

| My yorkie really likes it. I am glad there's a inexpensive option for her that's still healthy.☺ I have never tried the others on her. She has a problem with chewing big pieces. I have yet to find treats that she likes. She does like soft chewy cat treats tho lol I have let her eat them before!! She's picky

| Ugh I dislike pet food advisor. Some of the things they don't tell you that are important and should matter more then just ingredients are quality control, do they have vet nutritionists of staff, do they have a history of issues, do they have there own plant, do they do feeding trials and so on. Royal Canin has actual science behind there formulas and actual vet nutritionists recommend it. We as just pet owners don't know for sure what is best for our pets because we haven't studied it and they need different things then us as humans need. So what might be great for us might not be great for them.

| In case you were wondering or didn't know, 4Health dog food is made by Diamond.

| If the food is in a price point you are comfortable with and your dog does well on it, then I would say go ahead and continue using it. Diamond makes a lot of foods for a lot of different companies. They even make some of the foods for Wellness, Solid Gold, Canidae, and many others. But I mention the Diamond connection just so that you know who actually makes the food. I am not bashing the food at all and am not bashing you for feeding it. It is still a lot better than a lot of other brands. Hey, I'd feed Diamond before I'd feed Purina!

| I'm aware Diamond makes it. I watch out for recalls. I'm happy w it so far. I know a few breeders that swear by it too.

| Are you aware of how bad diamonds recall was a while back? It was bad. There quality control was terrible, the things I was hearing about the plant was gross. Just because breeders swear by it doesn't mean it's a great food. There are breeders who swear by lots of questionable terrible things and that doesn't make them right.

| I wouldn't feed my animals something just because a breeder I know does. I am not that naive or uneducated on dog food. I was just mentioning it. I'm sorry u feel the need to call it terrible. Not everyone feeds their dogs the exact same thing. Again I am very happy w it's ingredients for the price & that is why I continue to buy it. What do u feed yours??

| I respect your opinion but not the way u approached me. I am new to the board so it did not feel very welcoming. I am not a new yorkie owner tho. My dog is 18mos old. I strongly feel the ingredients & price make up for it being manufactured by Diamond. Please also note that Diamond has only recalled the 4Health brand twice from what I've read & it was a voluntarily recall only as a precaution. It was also a few years back too. (The recall also included "Chicken Soup for the Dog Lover's Soul" which is listed here on the board as a recommended premium dog food.) I am guessing at this point I won't know who else feeds their dog this brand since they'll prob to too afraid to admit it. Thanks to those who did reply .. it's good to find out I'm not the only one!!

| I also want to mention that I rotate her on Wellness for toy breeds too. I have even mixed the two up before. She is a very picky eater. 4Health is not the only thing I feed her.
