Donating YT 30K Club Member | Cali eats Cesar as well. She gets 3/4 of a tin a day. I have been putting a little ground beef in it once a day. She won't eat anymore than that. But I have the opposite problem she is too thin. Now my pom who weighs 12.5 lbs and is 9 years old is overweight and she eats cesars and only gets 1/2 a tin a day. I can't cut her back anymore. I have tried cutting out a treat or two.

| I feed Lil caesars to mine too but they just get 1/2 a tin a day. It is more like a snack for them. I leave hard food out for them all day.

| you should already be feeding him hard food, we have Gizmo (6mo) and Maddy (12weeks) on Innova Puppy and we give them Innova canned 1/2 as a treat every so often.... they get Innova bars as snacks and bisquits! Good Luck!! |

| I would cut out that wet food! Try feeding dollar a really good quality hard kibble. It will help with the weight and with keeping his teeth clean. I use Natural Balance kibble and I LOVE it for Chewy. I mix it up and give him some of their canned food or some meat roll a couple of times a week. There are many really good brands like Innova, Canidae, NB...I would look for food without ANY corn or meat byproducts. Good luck! |

| With the tarter problems that yorkies can have, a dry kibble is better. |

| Vegetables cooked vegetables! I give Shelby cooked vegetables and she thinks they are better than treats. I get her to eat her dry food by cutting up leftover veggies and putting it on her food. Is my dog a freak? She loves carrotts, zucchini, yellow squash, green beans and last night she had aspargus. had a bowl of dry food sitting there and she begged for more vegetables. |

| Miffy's eating Innova Evo. It's really really good food. Maybe you can try that. I only feed her wet food (various brands) once a week and that's mixed with dry food. I bring her on walks and out with me whenever the shops allow. |

| I only feed dry food. She eats Pro Plan small breed formula. I was never told to feed wet. Also I don't have her really on a set feeding time! Her dish is always full but she isn't always eating from it. |

| Well, I'll be! Quote:
As I was reading your post about cooked vegetables, I was eating cooked yellow squash. I cut off a bite and gave it to Rowdy and he gobbled it down and begged for more. Now, you have to understand he is the pickiest eater I have ever seen, when it comes to his dog food. He WILL NOT eat big kibbles, so I have to feed him Solid Gold Wee Bits and he doesn't eat it very well. I feed him toddler (human) chicken sticks or Innova wet food everyday to keep him from being skin and bones. Now, I find out the little stinker likes squash - no telling what other veggies he likes. Guess I'll have to cook some up and see! Thanks for helping me figure this out!
