| Natures Variety Prairie Hey all!! After a lot of vet visits and trial and error for a couple of months Winnie has been on Natures Variety Prairie puppy food for a while now and man....what a change it has been!!! Poops are less and oh so normal (no smooshies or diarrhea) and no probiotics necessary. I was just wondering if anyone has any personal experience with this food...any feedback would be great!! It is coated in freeze dried raw....she reallllllly likes it and I like that she is doing well on it. I worked for a vet for 4 years....but this whole yorkie business is all new to me!! |

| That's awesome that you found something that agrees with Winnie and that she enjoys! The NV prairie cans are also good if you want to incorporate some different wet foods |

| Yeah I was actually looking at the "raw" case which is when I noticed the natures variety dry right next to the case. I like the fact that it still includes the freeze dried raw. There a really a lot of differences I've noticed besides her poop quality! Before when she would eat she still seemed hungry. Every time I went into the kitchen throughout the day she would chase me and dance at her food bowl. She gobbled up whatever was in her bowl in about two minutes. And I was even feeding her more than the recommended amount. Now she doesn't even finish what's in her bowl at both meals. I don't have to feed her in the middle of the day anymore. I've actually offered her "lunch" and she refuses it. But trust me ... at 730 am and 6 pm that little girl knows it's meal time....it's truthfully the only time she dances at her bowl anymore. She eats slower....and doesn't finish. She really seems much happier. And mama is too! I'm waiting to see if I noticed any other changes like hair quality....the only thing I've noticed is that it seems to be easier to brush ie less tangles. But I'm not sure if that's because she's getting older and easier to brush because she's getting used to it....because I still find fluff in her brush every time I brush her |

| Pippin loves it. Pippin was on Purina One from the breeder, but her poops were huge and very light colored. I was shocked as something so big could come out of such a little puppy. Haha...Well I asked for and received free packages in the mail from the company so we tried the puppy formula and switched to regular about 3 mos ago. She loves it and her fur is so soft and shiny. Also she was scratching a lot, another reason why I wanted to switch. She stopped scratching about a week after starting the new puppy food.
