| good training treats? I would like to train my yorkie to go up and down the stairs. She is a bit timid but I think with a lot of encouragement she will do it. She is 3 years old and only 4lbs, so I want to give you a good and healthy training treats. Any suggestions? Marilyn |

| Mine will do anything for a Cheerio or Yogurt drop. For more suggestions try doing a search. Some one recently asked this same question and got lots of replies...

| We buy the training treats (Petsmart Training Treats) recommended by the trainer there - you can even break them up into tiny pieces because any reward works, it doesn't have to be a big treat to serve its purpose. We used these to teach Sully all his amazing tricks and they worked great!

| When I need a higher value treat, Joey gets little cubes of cheese or leftover meat.

| THanks for all the suggestions. I think my little one iskind of picky. She doesn't eat carrots. Are cheerios okay for dogs? I try to stay away from human food, but perhaps cereal is okay? |

| I just started using Cheerios, because I was having troubles finding a treat that Kalena likes, and she absolutely loves them. I've seen Cheerios suggested for treats on a couple of different forums. Take a look at the ingredients for Cheerios. Made from 100% whole grain oats, Cheerios cereal has no artificial colours or flavours. Those wholesome little Os are low in fat and saturated fat, and have no cholesterol. Cheerios is also an excellent source of iron, and a source of fibre and folic acid. On top of all that, Cheerios has only one gram of sugar. Ingredients: Whole Grain Oats, Modified Corn Starch, Corn Starch, Sugar, Salt, Tocopherols, Trisodium Phosphate, Calcium Carbonate, Natural Colour. Contains Wheat Ingredients. |
