| This sounds very much like bile caused by an empty stomach. My Teddy did this when he was younger. Easy solution: give a late night snack. All Teddy required was a few kibble before bed time. We played "tricks for treats" where the doggies would perform tricks for the kibble. Your dog may have a fast metabolism which makes it difficult to go too long without food. It is common in Yorkies.

Its because her belly is empty and the bile irritates the empty stomach, so they vomit. Her vet suggested giving her a late meal before bed to lessen the likelihood of early morning vomiting. I feed her around 7am, then she gets a snack in the afternoon, then dinner around 5pm and then a late feeding around 11pm. When i stick to this, she doesn't vomit bile at all. I don't feed her more than i would if she was fed twice a day, I'm just breaking her daily food portion into three sections rather than two.

| My Shelby did this, had to feed her small meals 4xs a day one right before bed. Pepcid ac also helps, talk to vet about dosage. |
