| Logans ear... Fell? Hi everyone. It's been a while since I've been on here. I'm wondering if anyone can help me out. Logan will be 11 months next week and his ears have been erect since he was about 4 months. Just this week his left war started to flop down. Is this something I should be concerned about? I've been growing out the hair on his ears, so I'm not sure if it's the weight of the hair or a medical concern. I figured if it was the hair, both ears would be weighed down, but it's just one. The other still stands tall. Any input would be much appreciated!!

| I've never heard of a medical problem causing the ears to fall, so I'm guessing that it's probably the weight of the hair, but if you're concerned, you should take him to the vet for a quick check-up. If you take Logan to the vet, let us know what the vet says, because we are always learning here on Yorkietallk. |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Sometimes teeth issues can cause the ears to fall, but that's usually when they're teething as pups. You may want to lighten the fur load on his ears and see if that helps. Otherwise, you may need to tape them up; we have a thread on taping in the Puppy Care Library.
