| Allergies *help, new to yorkie breed* Rescue pup Hello, we just rescued a yorkie from an animal control center. We named him Lucky, we love him. He's been vetted and had a good check-up with the vet, I explained to the vet of his constant sneezing and he gave me a recommendation of giving lucky benadryl (sp?). I dont think it helped much. I also dont want to give this to him everyday. Surely there's something else i can do. He has a constant running nose and sneezing. We have ceramic tile and carpet in 3 of the bedrooms. Any suggestions? |

| Hello, welcome to YorkieTalk. How long have you had him? Has he been sneezing ever since you brought him home? Has he recently had any vaccinations? I hope you can help the little guy. Here is an article that might help a little: Dog Nose Symptoms: Runny Nose, Sneezing, Mouth Breathing

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Is there nasal discharge out of just ONE nostril or both - it's very important to know this. It really needs to be checked out further bc a constant runny nose could be due to a foreign object inside the nostril and/or an oral-nasal fistula (esp if drainage is only 1 nostril). If allergies, then you also have to treat - read this thread for more info: http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/die...tart-here.html
