Senior Yorkie Talker | Changing food question Hey guys, so i am im the process of changing bentleys food and i know that when changing the food u ahould vradually do it like mix a little of the new food with the old food. Well i did that and bently picks out alll the old food and puts it on the floor and the eats all the new food. Should i just give him the new dood instead of gradually doing it or gradually do it |

| If he does not eat the old food I would just give him all new as he is not getting enough food. Just watch for GI upset. That is why they have you do it slowly. Good luck |

| Mine did the same thing. I just started giving her all new. She did fine with it. Just watch him to make sure there is no stomach upset (vomiting, diarrhea, etc.) |

2+2=4 X the Love ♥ Donating Member | If he's picking it out anyways I don't see much need to do it gradually but yes, you do need to watch for upset and GI issues any time you change foods. Hopefully you will be one of the lucky ones and don't have the mess. (runny, mild runny smelly stool) If he does get a bit of runny stool just be sure that he is getting plenty of water to that he doesn't get dehydrated.

| I've changed foods several times over the years and never had issues.
