| I've made recipes for Toki that use eggs as the only protein. Nutritious, easily digestible, and high quality. I make a huge batch of scrambled eggs ( almost 1 1/2 dozen eggs) and cook them in minimal amount of coconut oil and combine that with sweet potatoes and other veggies (I use the balanceIT recipe generator)...it lasts for almost two weeks and she loves it. Her coat is nice and shiny but it's generally like that anyway so I couldn't say if it's from the eggs necessarily. My mom however has always given our beagle one or two egg yolks each week just as a supplement and her coat is always so shiny and vibrant. We are a big fan of eggs! I wouldn't feed only scrambled eggs for a meal regularly since it's not balanced but it's fine as an occasional special meal. Or you can add a couple bites of scrambled egg to the regular meals (Teddy always gets a couple small pieces of my plain scrambled eggs as does Toki if she's not already eating an egg-based recipe) and not have to worry about making up for missing vitamins/nutrients. |

| Max loves a little scrambled egg or hard boiled. My Teddy loves the taste, but if I give him more than one tiny bite, he will throw up a few hours later. For pups with sensitive digestive systems, be careful and test tolerance.

| Mine love scrambled egg whites. I've never scrambled a whole egg for them. Good to know it's ok. They know on Sunday morning they get a special egg white treat in their breakfast

| I do scrambled egg for Harry at the weekend, it's the only days he'll eat breakfast! And sometimes I melt a little grated cheese into it - a bit for Harry, a bit for me..... Sally + Harry x |

My furkids Donating Member | Thank you for your responses. My little Bentley just had 5 teeth pulled....he's on 3 different meds...one being buprinex which is making him VERY sleepy....I scrambled an egg with a tiny bit of coconut oil (hopefully this will heal him faster) and offered it to him...the other 2 gobbled theirs down...Bentley just licked at it...I think the meds are getting to him. The vet isn't sure if there may be something else going on with him so, I am PRAYING a little coconut oil will help to heal what ever is going on...I thought the egg would be a nice change for him as well..

| Yup! I feed them whenever I make them for myself. Jackson always gets his own egg.

| Mine love them. Only a little occasionally though because they give them runny poo.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | My pups get a little slice of hardboiled egg every morning; they also love scrambled eggs. It's fine to give some egg, just don't give too much of it where it would unbalance their diet (ie, more than ~15% of their diet).

| Gracie loves scrambled eggs. I usually just give them to her as a treat if we are having them. I also sometimes mix part of a raw egg into any raw meals I make for her. |

| My vet approves of egg scrambled or sunnyside( bubbly yoke) also cooked in a tsp of olive oil, from true farm direct free pasture grazed chickens not the joke some free range you buy in store that don't specify what exactly they free range on. Less cholesterol. Also some organic cottage cheese from the Mennonites store. Strained off a bit. A few times a week. I heat their canned food mix it all so it coats the kibble and serve. Also add in salmon oil from costco1/2 capsule for yorkies. I'd advise anyone to consult their vet to see whats right for their dog based on your dogs medical history. |
