| picky eater Hi! My yorkie is 6 months old and weighs 3.8 lbs. She is a picky eater. She doesn't care for Science Diet puppy and will only eat if she is desperate. She loves Ceaser's wet food. I know it's not the best but she has had constipation issues since I got her 12 weeks and the Ceaser's helps with that. What dry kibble would you all recommend for picky eaters? Also, what's some safe people food I could give her on occasions to keep her weight up? My previous yorkie died this past fall due to complications with pancreatitis, so I'm naturally very uneasy about people food. Thank you! |

| So sorry about your previous pup. Yorkies are notorious for being picky...but it sounds like she likes canned food. I feed my guys moistened kibble mixed w/a tablespoon of canned food for 1 meal & they get premade raw for the other. Maybe you can try a better quality canned food & kibble...is there a specialty store or feed store near you? They carry brands that are not in mass chain stores, like Fromm, Horizon (Pulsar, Amicus), Acana & many others. You can order online too. Contact the companies for samples.

| I also have a picky eater, tried just about everything. When we got her they were feeding her the cesar's and I am in the process of weaning her from that. I ordered Merrick Classic Grain-Free Puppy Plate Recipe Canned Dog Food which comes in very small containers as I dont use that much. I mix a TBL with kibble in the morning and at dinner and give her plain kibble during the day. For the kibble which I have tried at least 4 different ones, I find she likes the Natures Recipe Grain Free Sweet Potato,Chicken, and Pumpkin. The vet said it was ok to use even though it is not "puppy" food. This seems to work for us ! |

| Thanks, I appreciate the help! I bought some Eukanuba puppy food yesterday. I'm hoping that will help a little. I will look into the options you all suggested. My previous yorkie LOVED food...and was partial to Science Diet. This has been so frustrating. |
