| How much do you feed your yorkie? I'm not sure if I'm under feeding or over feeding so I just wanted to see how everyone else's feeding schedule is. I feed my puppy about 1/4 of a cup blue buffalo kibble daily, which is the recommended portion on the bag for her weight. I also mix in a little bit of steamed carrot or apple/banana into her dry food to give a little bit of variety and when I'm training her. She's 12 weeks What's your fur babies feeding schedule like? By the end of the day she definitely doesn't look hungry though lol, but she's always ready for bananas.. She loves them!

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | As long as you're feeding close to the recommendation on your specific bag of food -and- your kiddo's body condition feels right (can feel the ribs and waist, not prominent, but ribs not buried in fat either) - then I think you're doing great. I feed mine twice a day. When they were puppies I fed them 4x a day at first, then 3x a day, then went down to 2x a day when they were around 10mths old.

| hope this helps Good question. I have been wondering the same thing. We feed Chewy 1/2 a cup of dry food twice a day. He gets treats as well since we are training him atm. He hardly ate when we first got him about a month ago but a change of dog food fixed that problem!

| For a pup, it sounds about right. I wouldn't worry about a young puppy getting overweight. At 12 weeks, if she's still hungry, give her some more. My 5 yr old, 17lb, active, neutered male eats 1/2 cup of kibble PER DAY. He does get wet food as well, plus treats (we do lots of training) and the occasional chew, so I try to count those calories in. In the summer, when he swims, we do 2/3 cup per day. He would get fat eating anymore.
