Recommendations for Taste of the Wild food most similar to Orijen Adult Hey guys, I have fed Bruno Orijen adult formula food for as long as I can remember maybe 7-8 years now and Natural Balance Ultra before that. We recently moved to Kuwait and as much as I love to continue feeding him Orijen it is impossible to find here! The only two brand of premium that I have found is Natural Balance and Taste of the Wild which I heard great reviews about. Since he's seem not to be so thrilled about Natural Balance it seems like TOTW is our only option however he's an extremely picky eater so I would like to buy a flavor that is most similar to Orijen. Has anyone switch from one brand to another? what flavor did you find that your furbabies liked the most? Please advise as Bruno probably has a little over 1.5 weeks of food left and I would like to begin mixing his food soon Thank in advance!

Is buying the food that he likes off of the internet cost prohibitive? We received a pretty old guy last April.... We played the food shuffle for about 3 months until we found what he really likes. Our case.. Nutro, Natural Choice, Senior, Toy Breed, chicken, rice, oatmeal. After finding it, the store quit carrying it, food shuffle again until we found another source for what he liked. The funny thing with ours, he didn't consistently like ANY wet or moist food, no matter how expensive. Mamma tried dozens. LOL Of course he loves nearly anything off of our plates to supplement his dry food.

I'd go with the High Prairie or Wetlands formula. Those 2 are the ones higher in fat and protein closest to Orijen although they don't have the same variety of proteins. I think a good compromise would be to pick a formula your pup does well on and supplement it with small amounts of foods like sardines, baked chicken, etc.

My (highly allergic) Wheaten Terrier was on TOTW pacific stream for years until we got caught in to many recalls and had to switch suddenly and never went back to TOTW. Two of their formulas were "better" than the others (single protein) for a sensitive dog. The Pacific stream(fish) and the lamb one (it could be the prarie- you'll have to google the ingredients) TOTW customer service was great and so helpful.

MarkfromSea: I have tried ordering the food online however for the size he needs I usually pay $26 plus tax but to have it shipped here would cost me well over $100 plus it would probably take well over a month if that and the Kuwaiti Government would have ripped the bag open and "inspect" it a few times to verify that it's really in fact dog food. So by the time it actually gets to me I'd be lucky if I have 3/4 of the bag and that it isn't stale lol it's a pain the ass! tokipoki: As much as I would love to try those two brands here in the Middle East finding dog food has been tough so I really what to make due with what I'm given which unfortunately are Taste of the Wild and Natural Balance ritapatt: Thank you so much!!! Sadly I don't have a choice but at least I know that there are better formulas than others. I will definitely be looking into those two flavors
