| What dog food for a sour stomach My little Yorkie has always had a sour stomach. About twice a week she throws up yellow foam that has a very pungent sour smell! What dog food do you recommend for a sour stomach? What can I do? She is a very healthy husky Yorkie. (8x8, 6lb.) |

| My Ziva is a stocky bodied girl. She is 10x10 and weighed 8 lbs! The vet really was not happy with her weight and said she should weigh 6 lbs. I didn't really agree at first but thought about how she was getting lazy and couldn't jump onto the chair. We cut back her food and made sure she walked every day, slowly getting up to 1 mile. She now weighs 6 2/3 lb(1 year later) and looks great and has energy. The extra is that her digestion is much improved- I can't even think of the last time she threw up! I thought she was a picky eater- just overfed... |

| You are right she does like to eat and is a little over weight, should be 5lbs. We are feeding her Purina light. We take her on a mile walk once a day. Because she was confined to a crate the first 9 months of here life she has not learned to play. She does do a lot of tricks. She has had the stomach problem from the time we purchased here, 14 months ago. The vet said there is nothing wrong with here many small breeds throw up in the morning. |

YT 2000 Club Member | Maybe she needs to be fed 3 small meals a day or even 2. Yellow bile usually means there is no food in their tummies. I also would not feed her that brand of food. There are many brands with a higher quality of ingredients!

| Because I have 3 dogs they cannot free feed. They do get 3 meals a day (I have a very old dog that cannot take a very large meal anymore) One Tablespoon in the am Two Tbsp in the afternoon and one Tbsp late evening. I feed a really high quality grain free food that I get at the pet store. It really isn' t much more expensive because they eat less and are so very healthy. |

YT 2000 Club Member | I also feed grain/potato free kibble.... Nutrisca lamb. I have to order online, but you might be able to find a store near you. It is not found in chain pet stores. One of mine doesn't tolerate chicken, so I had to find a different protein. There a lot of quality foods....Blue Buffalo is a good quality. Most foods sold in Walmart or such stores are not a good quality....ate least that is my opinion.

YT 2000 Club Member | Awesome! My girls were having so many skin issues and after about 3 - 4 months on this food, they did a total turn around. It took Tatiana a little over 4 weeks to adjust to the new food. She has a very sensitive tummy and any new foods give her loose stools and even watery diarrhea. She has done fantastic and even with the cold weather, still no itching or scaling of her skin. I am very happy with it. Please let me know how she does.

| Lilah eats natural balance duck and potato, it is a grain free limited ingredient diet and has consistently been a pretty good food- I am worried cause they just sold out to del monte and I am thinking a grocery store ketchup line will not keep the integrity of the food I really like first mate but even their small breed bites are just too big for her. Zignature has a good list if ingredients too and uses legumes (pea protein) instead if potato as the carbohydrate binder so that th glycemic index is lower. All of these are grain free, single protein. We rotate cause she is picky and we free feed because she is skinny. I wish the kibble was as small as natural balance. We do some canned grain free too.
