| Tea Tree Oil poisoning?!??!? I had my mother watch Turbie over New Years. Last time she went there she got fleas, so I asked her to put some tea tree oil on her shoulder blades. I dont have a flea problem at my house so we dont use advantage, and prefer the holistic route. Shes been eating and all that business. But shes extremely lethargic, she slept all the way home last night, through last night, and all day today. Not like her at all. I was reading one of my raw email lists and they were talking about tea tree oil poisoning. I had NO clue that animals could be poisoned from it!!! http://www.vet-task-force.com/Abstract-tea-tree-oil.htm Im going to bathe her right now and if she doesnt get better tomorrow, off to the Vet we go. I already feel guilty and I dont even know if this is what is bothering her. I just wanted others to know that it is possible!!!

| Many years ago when I was a teenage I got a puppy from a person giving them away at a store, it was covered in fleas, I bought a flea collar and hung it around the puppy's neck, within an hour the puppy started to decline.. After I while I realized it was from the flea collar.. It took awhile but he came back to normal, I'm sure if you bath Turbie and give him some nurti cal he will be fine, but keep an eye on him just in case!

| So sorry to hear about your baby's allergic response to tea tree oil. If it is a true allergy, please be careful with any products that have malaleuka oil. I use it all the time to help heal hot spots and such and my dogs have not reacted to it. Unfortunately, just as with kids sometimes we don't find out they are allergic til they have a reaction..Turbie ( love that name) should be fine after a good bath and lots of love from mommie... |

| She ran around the house after her bath but not at her normal full speed self (Turbies real name is Turbo). I thought it would be a good time to brush her (she likes it), and she fell asleep on her back on my lap. Poor tired pup! Weve been keeping her warm with her pajamas and trying to get her to drink broth to keep her hydrated but didnt show alot of interest in it like normal. Thanx everyone.

| She seems back to normal today Thank goodness! She started to perk up after the bath. She also has a habit of not sleeping at new places so maybe she just got worn out at my parents house. I heard she was so mad at me leaving she wouldnt eat her greenie
