| Changing foods.... I need some advice! Smoke, my yorkie is a year and a half old. I had originally started him out on Solid Gold Just a Wee Bit after visiting my locally owned pet store. He was having issues with itchiness and dandruff so after much reading here and learning about dog foods I switched him to Canidae Pure Sea so he would get the oils he needs as well as get him off grains. He's now pooping twice as much as he did before, drinking A LOT more water (feel like I'm always refilling his water) and his poops are soft, not diarrhea loose, but always soft. Now I feel more confused than ever, I'm thinking of trying the following foods (the number behind it is the rating on dogfoodanalysis.com): TOTW High Prairie (6) Wellness Core Grain Free Original (6) Fromm Four Star Surf & Turf (5) Does anyone have any experience with any of these three? I appreciate all your advice in advance! |

| My boys eat the Wellness Core grain free small breed...but I leave it more as something to snack on, rather than their primary source of food. They mainly eat the canned wellness.... Lately, they have been boycotting dog food all together and it's been difficult to get them to eat. After only getting them to eat baby food, I did manage to get them to eat home cooked chicken and rice. Yesterday, I picked up a sample of the stella and chewy's duck duck goose paddy and they loved that...so I might be adding that to the grocery list. |

YT 2000 Club Member | dog My Yorkies eat the Wellness Super5 mix complete health dry food. I mix a little wellness wet chicken canned food with it. Very tasty and good quality food. Stools are formed and they seem to like this food. |

| I wouldn't worry too much about ratings on dogfoodanalysis. They don't take into account a lot of things. Like, I wouldn't touch TOTW due to it being made at Diamond. Lots of issues. I would probably choose Fromm as #1, then Wellness. My dog didn't do great on Fromm, unfortunately, because I do really like the company.
