| Should a Yorkie's nose have a brown tint? Mickey's groomer says that his nose should be black, not brown. She says that he isn't getting enough vitamins and that we should feed him beef instead of dog food. Is she right? I just want to make sure. |

| I dont think diet matters from what I have read a lack of sunlight turns the noses lighter.

| This happens to my Maltese over the winter. He adorable little black button nose will sometimes turn brownish. But once spring is back and he's out playing in the sun, he nose turns black again.

| OK, I believe you guys. So I don't have to worry about the beef/vitamin thing, right? I give Mikey vitamins every day! I have read that besides lack of sunlight and winter changes, a plastic dish might cause it. I will change it to metal or glass right away. |

| I wouldnt change over to a beef diet there are dogs on here that have gotten pancreatus from eating human food. I would change over from that plastic dish to ametal or ceramic one though. The plastic dishes can harbor bacteria.
