What works for some may not work for all. I think YT is great for personal experience. Since we all have the same breed it is very interesting seeing the difference in Yorkie’s, what they can tolerate and what some can’t.. I for one don’t give Peanut wet food or anything with grains in it. He doesn't tolerate it. Having being a member I have found different treats and dry foods that I can give him and some I have tried and have not worked well.. If it wasn't for people starting threads and adding their two cents I may not have known!! We all want the best for our babies and there's nothing wrong with that.

Mystery 'animal by-products', 'meat meals', 'animal digest', 'natural flavors', etc. is what people should look out for. It can come from the 4D meats (dead, dying, diseased & disabled), even euthanized animals! I would only advise not to feed foods w/corn for a diabetic pet, as corn is high on the glycemic index...but so is potato. My 2 had to eat Hill's C/D prescription food & it had corn & chicken by-products in it, but it helped get rid of the struvite crystals. I would never personally choose this food (Hill's) but it helped my dogs get healthy & changed my thoughts/ views on Science Diet/ Hill's & other pet food companies that go through food trials & are 'scientifically' proven like Royal Canine.

Very well said. I too prefer to do my own research, seek the advice of ZoE's vet, and make my own decisions regarding my dog. Thanks for posting this thread . ZoE has been on RC for almost 2 1/2 years now and is doing great. I'll be sure to look for RC wet at the store this weekend. It would be nice to give her a treat that I don't have to cook myself...as I'm a lil challenged in the kitchen

| FYI...Free Can I took Toki to get her nails trimmed today and the grooming salon at my local Petsmart had a huge stack of coupons for a free can of the RC Mini food if any of you guys are interested in trying it...I guess it saves you only a couple of dollars, but hey, I'll take any savings I can get! I'm not sure if all Petsmart salons have the coupons but it's worth taking a look |

| I bought two cans last night and they never mentioned a coupon. I'll look the next time I go. I just wish they had coupons for the bags.

| Hmmm Just thought I'd share Sam's opinion of the RC canned puppy. I'm not sure - what do you think? RC Canned Mini - YouTube

| Tink was just being her nosy self. She's afraid she'll miss something tasty. That's the first time I've ever seen him warn her off.
