| Slow eater Hi all! The last few mornings when I fed Enzo before he eats, or should I say nibbles, he bats his food bowl around the kitchen! Its like he's trying to hide it! lol. The problem is, he doesn't eat very much initially, so even though he was time fed at his old home (he's 7 months) I just leave the bowl accesible so he's able to free graze during the day. (Which makes it tougher to know when he needs to poo!) He likes carrots, bananas & cherrios. I've noticed some of you put a bit of wet food mix with the dry, and I'm sure that would work. So I guess my question is... Do I try and find the wet version of the dry food? He's eating Blue Buffalo Puppy (Lamb & Oatmeal) or can I mix it with a different flavor? |

| What I did was wet Bella's kibble with some warm water, but I found that she eats it faster if I put a bit of chicken broth on top. She loves it! Maybe Enzo would too. I was told, that wet foods are not that great for our furbabies.

| When I went home at lunch today I noticed he had eaten very very little of his breakfast, so I thought I'd freshen up his bowl with a new scoop mixed with warm water...that didn't work...so I took the smallest amount of wet Blue Buffalo (Less than 1/2 teaspoon) and stirred it into the dry...He gobbled every last crumb and licked the bowl clean! Maybe if I do that for awhile he will stop wanting to snack every waking hour of the day because his little tummy will actually be FULL! Wow I feel like a new mom! I'm so grateful to have found this site! |
