| Update on Peanut Well he seems to be improving. Yesterday evening he finally ate on his own. He ate his dry food!! When I got home he seemed to be perked up, like he did feel better. I made some more chicken for him since I had it, mixed it with his kibble and he gobbled it all up! He followed it by drinking some water. Dh came home and seemed extra perked up- so he isn’t acting sickly by any means. Totally normal. However he hasn’t pooped since Sunday. I know when you are sick it kind of throws your system off. When he did poop it wasn’t diarrhea but it wasn’t hard, it was formed but just a little soft. I also gave him some dog pepto bismol so maybe that stopped him up..? Since he ate yesterday evening and this morning he should def have some poop for me today/ this evening.. My question is besides pumpkin what else can I give him for constipation? I heard you can give mineral oil? I’m thinking if he doesn’t poop by today/night I will take him in tomorrow morning.. Oh I should also say he has been farting a lot. They are stink strong farts, Peanut is never a farter either.. What do you all think? Should I give it today to see if his body can go back to normal? Should I try giving him something to help?

| Activity and apples without the core or the skin might help. I would give him a day. Him moving around will help move the bowels too. Take him for a walk glad he is eating and feeling himself again

| Hmm ok- Taking him for a walk is a good idea- Like I said he isn't acting sick so that’s good. I know he hasn't got into anything that would “stop him up” also he pooped Sunday so I know he can… I just get worried.. You know how it is LOL. Hopefully he has some nice poop for me when I get home! If not I will try walk first, and go from there.

| Glad to hear he pooped! When Teddy had his diarrhea for 2 days, he didn't poop for 2 days after that -- highly unusual for him. The doctor said not to worry. His system was taking time to fill up and recover. Unless they are showing obvious signs of constipation, I wouldn't treat for it when they don't do anything for a couple of days.
