| Thanks to all who recomended bully sticks :) Jessi is almost 4 weeks into her 6 week crate restriction due to a broken leg/surgery. She was so bored and going a little crazy (she started getting a little ocd, wont drink water out of a bowl and now walks around her food nosing it likes shes trying to bury it) I tried every toy, she has no interest, treats she ate through in seconds (kongs etc) I was starting to lose it along with her. So I read about bully sticks on here and went off to petsmart figuring whats another thing in the pile of things she doesnt use..well, I bought some made in the usa, handed her one and bam she has been lying down chewing at that thing for 30 minutes. Ive never seen her do anything that long...Im so happy...bully sticks..who knew.. how long should I let her have it and how often... |

| Well it worked for a while. she has no interest in it today. I think she is just going a little nuts. Cant blame her..she just wants to jump and play and I have to be very verbal and on her to say no when she tries to jump. I cant keep her in the small cage all day. its not fair. The bigger one she can jump around in so when she wound up thats out. You cant hold her when she like that because she squirms to get down and could fall..sigh..two more weeks... |

| Bless her heart! Just be patient with her, Mommy, and it'll all be over before you know it.

| geez she loves it again..is it supposed to turn white and stringy on the ends? It looks like she is pulling on a condom? do you wash them after each chew session or cut off the end? I just put it in a baggie. I have to hold it for her as she isnt supposed to put pressure on her leg and they smell gross! I got made in the us ones.. |

| yes that is correct they get stringy...now i cut those off and you can give them a quick rinse. you can get the oderless from best bully.com. mine love the oderless just as much as the stinkee ones! good job storing them that way they dont get yuck and i also throw them away when they get down to 1/4 size because they are too small and im afraid of choking.

| I personally think Bully Sticks are gross only for the fact of where they come from but it helps to keep their interest in toys and chews if you don't leave them down all the time. Pick up half her toys and leave them up for a week and rotate them out, it's like a new toy every week. lol |

| I give Bronco bully sticks too. I bought them from Petsmart... True Chews made in Independence, IA. Absolutely no smell. He will maybe chew half of it one day and then get to it later another day. They do get white and stringy and it is gross thinking about what it is, but it keeps him busy and makes him happy. I usually throw mine away when there's about 2 inches left. |

| I guess they have a very faint meaty smell but that's if my nose is right up on it. Maybe you've got a really good sense of smell! Apparently some out there really stink and cause stains. Before I bought them I was warned to not get any kind of bully stick because I was told they stunk horribly and stained carpets. But I wanted to give him something to chew on and I didn't want to give him any rawhide. I like that they're 100% natural and made in Iowa (where I live.) |

| I have been giving my lil one a bully stick as a treat once a week....which she loves..... all I have to say to her is "what day is this" she starts twirling around and wimpering cuz she know that every Saturday she gets a bully stick....I have tried several different brands (some really do stink) and the best I have found so far have been those sold by Westbrook Dog and BestBullySticks They keep her occupied for hours and when they get down to about 2" I will take it away so I don't have to worry about choking.
