| Wanting to switch kibbles. He's currently eating Hill's Science Diet Small Bites for puppies, and I really want to change his food soon since we're running low on his kibble. I have no clue which one to choose though. I go to petco, and there's rows after rows of puppy food, I just end up going back to my car whining why they have so much choices. :\ After a few trips to the stores though, I've had 3 choices, but I still dont know which one to pick ( which is the best? ) 1. Canidae 2. Blue Buffalo 3. Royal Canin 29 help me please! |

| Welcome, local! I don't feed any of the above so I can't help...but I have seen a lot of people feed BB. TBH I haven't heard of canidae before. Food choices are controversial, but IMO any Hills and Royal Canin food aren't the best. I've had too many bad experiences with both companies in the past.

| @brezofleur - Hi hi! I've seen Canidae here in the forums so I've been looking at those too. I heard that brand is holistic and what not. Not sure if that's good or not though. :\ My gramma is using royal for her yorkies and they're okay that's why its on my list. XD I'm willing to order online too, just to get the best for my baby! @lovetoddream88 i Heard grain free is good, but I just cant decide which brand to buy. ;\ @rileyDC yeah i dont trust petco at all too. I'd rather buy from small pet food stores than go to that big chain. -_- BAd EXPERIENCE WITH THEM. o_o NEVER AGAIN. |

| I had been feeding Royal Canin 29 since I got her . She is 9 months old now. All of a sudden she stopped eating as much. I had to coax her, so I changed to BB Freedom grain free. She loves it. |

| Was talking to a lady today at the park, and he said she uses Lotus brand for her pups. Any thoughts on this brand? |

I'd also recommend looking into Fromm, Blue Buffalo, and Acana/Orijen. | |

| Hi, and thanks for the replies. I've settled with Lotus puppy kibble, and my Toby loves it. I tried mixing it with his old food, (hill's), because I was worrying that he wont eat it, well.. He left the old dog food in the bowl and finished the lotus kibbles! I'll see if this is a good switch. Random question, is it bad to switch my puppy's food so often? or is it okay? |
