| help!! my * week old dog was diagnosed with severe anemia/thrombocytopenia I got my 8 week old puppy a week ago. I took him to the vet this morning. The vet checked out his teeth and they were yellow. So she suggested we do blood work to see if it was his liver. I got a hold of the breeder after they did blood work and she told me that she gave him vitamins and those tend to color his puppy teeth. I got the results back and everything was fine but the fact that he was anemic/thrombocytopenia. He sleeps wakes up, goes potty, eats, and is a very active puppy? they suggested i take him to a specialist? i dont know what to do? |

| I just looked this condition up, the internet is scary I think I would have the blood retested, sooner rather than later, and if it comes back the same you NEED to get to a specialist. I've heard of blood work being "wrong" for various reasons, happened with Mini. I really wouldn't wait too long, better safe than sorry.

| I don't think I would want to wait until Saturday to see a specialist. This could be very serious and he is so very young.
