| Hills Prescription I/D Hi everybody.. I have a few questions for those of you whose babies have been Hills I/D for a while.. Quick summary: my baby got diagnosed with ulcerative colitis 2-3 weeks ago and has been on Hills I/D since, hes 9 y/o, Because of the prednisone he's had a ravenous appetite, hes approx 15 lbs... my questions are: 1. Is there anywhere else to purchase it besides the vet? (hes a long drive from home) 2. How often do you guys feed your pups? 3. Do you guys mix the dry kibbles with wet ID? Thanks all! |

| Hill's prescription I/d I hope you can answer this question for her. I have a 2 1/4 lb yorkie that has early kidney problems and was told by the vet to feed him Hill's k/d. But looking at the ingredients made me not want to feed him that. It contains meat by-products and other ingedients that I'd rather not feed him. Does anyone have a raw diet for kidney problems? |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | Hi, are you talking about Science diet? I am feeding my 3 year old toy poodle the Science ID diet because he has a very weak stomach and was vomiting every night. I feed him 1/4 cups 2x/day. He weighs about 8 pounds. I don't mix it with anything else, just dry ID kibble. (And that's the only thing I feed him, both as treats throughout the day and meals) And it seems to be working really well, he hasn't thrown up since we started him on the diet.

| Hill's prescription I/d I was refering to Hill's and Science Diet RX diet's. They are both made with less than favorable ingredients. Thank you Yorkie24U for recommending Rayne Nutrition. I checked out their website and was very impressed by their ingredients. It is very pricey though! Angelfire |

| Rosie has been on I/D for awhile. I did mix the wet and the dry together and I feed her twice a day. I now only use the dry because I am home cooking for her. I have not found it any where except my vets office. I would buy more so I wouldn't have to make the trip to his office as much. You can find non rx SD in stores but I think the rx foods are at vets office. I am not 100% sure on that.
