Zachary's Mom Donating Member | Grain free dog treats From the Ultimate Dog Treat Cookbook Makes 2-3 sandwich bags of tiny training treats 1 cup Force dehydrated dog food (Honest Kitchen) 1 cup hot water 1 large egg 1 tbsp. lowfat yogurt 1 tsp minced garlic Preheat oven to 375 degrees Place Force into bowl and add hot water. Stir and let sit for 10-15 minutes When Force has absorbed the water, forming a thick paste, add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Spread contents of bowl on a greased cookie sheet. Using the rounded side of a large spoon, spread the ingredients over the bottom of the cookie sheet from side to side and corner to corner. Bake 10-15 minutes or till bottom is golden brown. Turn off oven but leave cookie sheet inside the oven overnight so the mixture can harden. Remove from the oven and break the treats into pieces small enough to use as training treats. Store in airtight container in refrigerator. |

Zachary's Mom Donating Member | Green Grain Free Goodies From The Ultimate Dog Treat Cookbook, makes 20-30 bite size treats 1 cup Force (Honest Kitchen) 1 cup hot water 1 large egg 2 tbsp. lowfat plain yogurt 2 tbsp. vegetable oil 1 cup potato flour Preheat oven to 375 degrees Place Force in bowl and add hot water. Stir, let soak for 10-15 minutes When the Force has absorbed the water, forming a thick paste, add remaining ingredients. Mix well. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet. Bake 10 minutes for soft, chewy goodies. Remove from oven, let cool, store in airtight container. ***For crisper treats, when all cookies have been baked, turn off the oven. Put all the cookies back on cookie sheet and return them to the oven. Leave them in the cooling oven for several hours or overnight till harden. |

I have not tried any of them. Actually I forgot I had bought all these cookbooks. I hope this will help people with dogs that can't have traditional treats and that they will share the results. Louise | |
