| Heartguard plus Just wondering if anyone ever heard of any relations between heartguard plus and seizures? My morkie Cruz was always on the interceptor pill until this pass June when the vet stopped carrying it. Cruz was then put on heartguard plus. In July he had his first seizure. (He's 3) It's been a long road since then and they now think he could have MVD. His only symptoms are the two seizures. And I just can't stop thinking of how this all started after we switched heart worm pills. I know it may sound silly but I'd thought I'd put it out there... |

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | It's possible, but the amount of Ivermectin in Heartgard plus is so low, that even those breeds sensitive to it such as Collies don't have a problem, but there can be exceptions. What does your vet think? This link has more informtion: Heartgard Plus Chewables for Dogs: A Product Review My dogs have taken it for years with no problems.

| I haven't heard of that and Tibbe made the same change from Interceptor about June or July. Can you take him off Heartguard Plus to see if they stop? I'm sure sorry to hear that he has developed seizures and may have MVD! Does the vet think there is an association? Has he had other patients changed to Heartguard Plus get them also?

| I figured it could be a long shot. I did google it and some things did come Jo but nothing really creditable. I am going to call my vet tomorrow but I am pretty sure he is out of office until Monday. It just came to me when I was going through Cruz medical stuff, I write everything down! |

| Anyone know if intraceptor is back? I see online where websites come up for some without a prescription-don't know if I trust that! |
