| Pork in dog food! Is it OK? I'm thinking of trying out this food: http://www.bendir.is/images/Carrier%20Regular.PNG There you can see the ingredients. Would you think this is safe? I've never seen dog food with pork in it before. The one I'm feeding now only has 20-30% meat so I'm looking for something better

| I personally wouldn't feed Jada or Bogie anything with pork in it. I would be afraid it would not be healthy for them. Maybe someone with more knowledge about it will chime in before long.

| Why do you think it wouldn't be good for them? Just curious to know ! Yes I hope I get some answers What I think (but I have little knowledge of this) is that pork is cheap in use and that's why that is used for this food, this has beef and pork together so it sounds OK to my ears. I hope to get some good answers

| I have always heard that pork can cause pancreatitis in small dogs.

| There's a few dog foods with pork that I know of... Fromm Pork & Applesauce, Back to Basics pork, By Nature, Merrick, and a few more. Here's a little info on the myth of pork causing pancreatitis from DogFoodProject. Quote:
