| Low protein for liver issues??? Hi everyone! My little yorkie Khloe has liver issues and has to be on a special diet. She eats the royal canin hepatic food, but I feel bad because my other yorkie gets to have other treats. She has to have a low protein diet. Does anyone know of any treats that are low in protein or even homemade treats I could make for her? She is such a sweet girl and I want her to be able to enjoy some special treats too! Thanks!! | Mine love Cherrios, cottage cheese, green beans, apples, applesauce, and carrots. And Gerber's Graduates Puffs for human toddlers. And noodles.

| Great suggestions! Also I've read about people using the canned prescription food to make treats as well! Looks like you basically shake out the can of food onto the cutting board, cut it into bite-sized pieces and then bake them. The fruits and veggies that were suggested will have no protein which you might prefer if your dog likes 'em! Homemade Dog Treats Recipe for Healthy Older Dogs | Hill?s Pet |
