| Question about Fleas Hi guys! I found a flea on Lila this morning. She uses frontline monthly but I've noticed that recently she's been very itchy on her hind area. I used a flea comb and didn't find any more fleas but she has a dermatitis back there. She's allergic to fleas and has had rashes in the past. (I found one flea on her last year but she developed a rash and she was put on capstar and prednisone). I'm taking her to the vet later. Should I do the entire flea treatment? (ie: capstar, fumigation, and cleaning everything?) Is it possible she only had 1 flea that wasn't killed by the frontline but we don't really have an infestation? - Esmeralda

| Yes the same thing happened to Georgie. He had an allergic reaction and we only found 1 flea. I know he didn't have a lot of fleas on him because our Boxer never had any on her at all.

| Yes, it's possible to have one flea jump on and bite your dog before the preventative kicks in and kills it. I know if one flea bites Lola, she itches for days.

| Mine are allergic too. One flea would send this Momma into code red flea killing mode Seriously, if there is one, there are many more, and eggs and larvae too See if the vet will keep your baby for the day while you decontaminate Good luck and I hope Lila feels better quickly
