| Eye Cleaning - Old Yorkshire Terriers I have two older dogs, thirteen and fourteen years of age. I noticed that their eyes are needing to be cleaned more. I clean them with cotton wool and water but wondered if anyone has found anything better. Someone told me it is a good idea to put vaseline around their eyes? Any helpful comments would be appreciated. |

| The only thing I do is keep the hair trimmed away from her eyes and wash with a washcloth. Im sure that others will have some suggestions. |

My furkids Donating Member | I have to keep the hair cut around their eyes. Mine are not old but, their eyes do get ucky and stinky if I don't keep them cut and washed. I use a warm, wet cotton ball or wash cloth. I really wet the eye area and then use a soft brush and brush the goop out.

| I don't cut around the eyes. I wash their faces with soft washcloths and a little puppy shampoo. I find their eyes are worse with haircuts so I tie off top knots and leave the hair long.
