| Suggestions for Dog Chews Max and Abby enjoy their bully sticks, but from time to time Max also enjoys a little rawhide twist. (I never give them any chews when I am not home to monitor them when they chew. Max has trained me to hold his twist and he sits on my arm as he chews. Abby usually chews the center piece when Max is done chewing the outside layer of rawhide.) Max likes Dingo Twists and I try to knock off as much of the chicken center as I can. My vet is not concerned since they only get a small amount, but....I know they are made in China and have been trying to find alternative chews for him since he loves to chew. I have looked at Petsmart, Petco, and Target - but all of their chew treats seem to be made in china. There are some new Kong twists, but they are made in Mexico with products from the USA. Any suggestions for where I might be able to purchase chews that are made in the USA? |

| Bestbullysticks.com has a lot of different chews. I would never buy anything from China let alone anything that has any kind of chicken. Also rawhide can cause blockages.

| Himalyan chews are great for agressive chewers. Zukes has some chew bones that are grain free and made in the USA, but they are super expensive, to me at least.

| These suggestions really helped. Bentley wants to chew on everything and he loves his bully sticks but the only ones we could track down locally were small so he ate them up in less than an hour. I have now ordered some himalayan chews and some longer braided bully sticks to keep him happy and me happy too haha |

| I dont know if zukes are a good idea-theyre safe, but they'll eat them in 2 seconds.

| Ok, I do not know how to be delicate about this without sounding ridiculous, but bully sticks are dried bull penises. They're chewy like rawhide, but digestible. I think you can get them from mrchewy.com. I know we've got them from amazon and doggyloot.com I would NOT get them at the pet store as they are cheaper to procure in bulk.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | My favorites are giving non-consumable RMBs (raw meaty bones); I get bison back from Whole Foods and have them cut them down to 3-inch pieces, or if the wait is long I bring them home and have hubby cut them down. RMBs, imo...for my dogs, are the BEST at cleaning teeth...my dogs really mean business with the RMBs. Safer too, imo, bc they can't consume anything but a bit of meat. What about CET chews? Those are really great (get them on Amazon, good price)...but I admit I'm not sure where they're made. I also get some organic/natural type chews from a local pet boutique (where they sell high end food and stuff). You could make your own sweet potato chews...there is a recipe for it somewhere on here.

| I use to be a fan of Texas Toothpicks, and Bully sticks.. Until time after time of Peanut getting sick. My Vet told me bacteria can be on those chew sticks and make your dog sick.. So I stopped giving Peanut any type of “chew” stick. The moment I pulled his Bully Sticks and TT, is the moment he forgot about them. Also he has been really healthy!
