YT 1000 Club Member | Trifexis - yea or ney ? I am generally against anything that does multiple things at once. The old saying being, do one thing well, or several things poorly, however... I presently use Comfortis (for Fleas) and Heartguard (for Worms), and had to spit their administration up to give one, then the other two weeks later. I could just see that my guys weren't feeling all that chipper, when I gave both meds on the same day. Now, the problem being that Becca does pretty well taking the Heartgard, BUT, Sneakers despises it, spits it out, and I have to shove it down his throat every time (even when I wrap it in cheese). It would be SO much more convenient if these meds could be administered at the same time, and get a willing response to them. This is where the consideration of this Trifexis comes in. Anybody tried it, does it work well...anyone ? Ref: http://www.trifexis.com/Default.aspx...ookieSupport=1

YT 1000 Club Member | UOOPS... I got the cart before the horse here... I did a search, and found that this topic has been discussed it length. However, in addition, I'd like to know now, IF anyone has had a problem with Trifixis. Ineffective one one or more of the components ? Animals reaction (like it/makes them feel bad) ? Sorry about the double posting

| I've been giving it to my two for 7 months, so far with no ill effects.

| I am using Trifexis with Lollie. She is doing great. I talked with Dr. Amy today about it (yet again) when I picked up her September dose. I mentioned that I had heard about issues with the product. She told me that she hasn't heard of any ill effects other than it can cause vomiting if given on an empty stomach -- well let me back up a bit. She did tell me that with Trifexis seizures may become more frequent with dogs that are prone to have seizures. Also she told me that Comfortis (one of the ingredients in Trifexis) has been known to have a negative reaction with Ivermectin so if a dog has been treated with Ivermectin he shouldn't be given Trifexis. |
