| Water consumption I have a 15 week old yorkie who seems to drink a Lot of water and then of course, pees often..like 2-3 times an hour. If she's just chewing on her toys, she seems normal, but if she's tearing thru the house and playing hard, she goes several times per hour. When she runs and plays hard, she seems to drink a lot. I'm worried about diabetes. Anyone else have a similar situation? |

| Have ou measured ounces per day? Like put a cup of water8 ounces) in a bowl in the morning and measure at night to see if she is drinking a normal amount. Ouppies do pee a lot, but that sounds a but excessive. I would talk to your vet about it.

| Water consumption No, I haven't measured it out. I have no idea what normal consumption is for a puppy that age. SHe does her drinking when she is very active, therefore, leading to peeing much more. |

| When they run & play, they drink a lot of water. General rule of thumb, a month old pup can hold pee for 1 hr, 2 months - 2 hrs, 3 month old - 3 hrs & so on. Peeing 2-3x's an hr seems unusually excessive. Maybe you need to take her to the vet asap, it can be uti?
