| Dark Rash Like on Skin Advise please. Vet not open today and don't want to wait to try something. Noticed a dark rash like on neck and genital/belly area on my 1.5 yr old male Yorkie. There is no redness around the dark areas. He does not appear to be scratching it. Nothing is moving in patches. Humans are not getting "bit" by anything. Grandmother is a breeder (a much larger breed) - called her - she said to first try bathing in allergy shampoo ( really good soaking) and air dry. Then apply Neosporin, clean bedding areas, and put through extra rinse to rid of any residual soap. Also go to store and get Frontline. Is Neosporin safe for such a small dog? He only weighs 3 lbs. Is up to date on shots and is otherwise healthy - lots of energy and wanting to play fetch and tug-of-war. My dog has only been out once three months ago, when he was boarded while I was in hospital. He uses a pee pad inside. Please do not want to wait to try things!!!! Appreciate any constructive advise. Thank you. |

| My dogs get this. I put a bit of coconut oil (great for the skin) on their tummies and the next day wipe it off with a baby wipe, or it'll come off in the bath.
