| Madison is throwing up... Hi all.... Madison has been throwing up a yellowish liquid last night and this morning (about 3 times in all). All last night her tummy was making all these gurgling sounds...so sad She also hasnt eaten much of anything since yesterday morning. I've been giving her lots of Pedialite to help hydrate her. Do you think that I should take her to the vet or is this something that will pass? Anything I could give her to help her feel better? This hasnt happened before so I dont know how I seriously I should take it??

| Madison is drinking, this is a good sign and very helpful. Maybe it's not serious and she just has a little upset tummy that will pass. Sometimes plain white rice sooths their tummy. If you don't feel it's too serious maybe you can just watch her for the day. And if you don't see any improvement by tomorrow a vet visit might be in order. Hugs to Madison and I hope she feels better soon.

| It's hard to give you an answer without more information. Has she been outside and eaten something out there? Has this happened before? Does she have a fever? Keep hydrating her and get her to the vet in the next day if it continues. My yorkie goes through this ocassionally and we suspect outdoor conditions, or even table scraps because she has always had a sensitive stomach. It could be something more though, so take her temp to rule out flu viruses. Good luck, hope it passes in the next day, Kip usually does, if not go to the doc. |

she doesnt go outside much (we keep a doggy litter in the house), so I know it's not anything she has eaten outside. i dont think she has eaten anything around the house - i looked around for clues, but cant see what she could have eaten. she doesnt feel warm to me, but i suspect it may be some kind of flu or virus. im going to see how she is doing the rest of the day and if she isnt better by tomorrow ill definitely take her to the vet.

| If you haven't been through this with them before it can be kind of scarey. Kipper does this every now and then and it still upsets me, but as long as she is sipping water or Pedialite and doesn't feel hot, then I would make her comfortable in a bed and leave it to her for now. She will probably come out of it on her own it 24-48 hours- give her time. If it goes on after that then go to the vet. It's the H20 that is important right now, and rest. Hope she gets better.
