| 6mos yorkie is excessively drooling and burping hello, i have a 6 mos old puppy that has been excessively drooling over the past 3 days and is burping. He threw up today for the first time and all items found in the vomit was all puppy food. he is given a small portion of a greenie every now and then for good behavior as well as a nylabone for chewing/teething purposes. i took him to the vet today and the vet gave my dog shots for vomiting i brought him home and he is still burping and still drooling, but no throw up. i was also given some dog grade amoxicillin that is to be administered twice a day. the vet said that the pup would be fine, but i just wanted to cover all my bases and ask the above on the forum. any advice would be greatly appreciated. |

| Could your pup be drooling from teething? When my human kids were babies the doctor said they might vomit from teething and drooling. I don't know if the same would hapen to pups. |

My furkids Donating Member | my little guy was drooling the other day as well...I called my vet and they told me this usually means they are nauseated. maybe his food isn't sitting right with him? did you ask your vet about putting him on a bland diet? maybe boil (skinless) chicken or really good hamburg (boil the fat out) drain and add cooked rice...maybe this would help his little tummy...sorry to hear he isn't feeling well.
