Senior Yorkie Talker | Every yorkie grows at different rates! It could be a year before they stop is what I was told but nothing can predict exactly when they'll stop growing! I know some ladies on here whose pups went well over their parents weight within a year so I think it just depends on the puppy. |

| My Raley is a yorkie mix. At 7 months of age he quit growing length wise. He has gained 2 pounds since then and he is 2 1/2 years old.

| I agree that different yorkie lines grow at different rates. My boys are full brothers and had growth spurts late -- 11 months. Then they developed, filled out in their second year.

| The vet said 12 months to stop growing and they will fill out up to 18 months. Like everyone else has said, each pup will grow differently. Like any living being, yorkies won't always grow according to plan.

| I thought I was safe to invest in some clothes for Kaji since I got him at 12 months. He grew out of those clothes. They were cheap little things, so it didn hurt my wallet. I'm glad I waited to buy him high end items after he was 2. He hasn't grown out of those clothes.
