| LOL. Sadly, there are a lot of vets around here that could have written these. Apparently AAHA and most veterinary schools are nothing to them.

| Thank you for posting this....There are many pet owners who are still relying on their vets for accurate and truthful info and they are not getting it.......I see it all the time on this forum where a pet owner is going in for their "annuals", what a shame they are not getting the info they need to decide if they are doing the right thing for their pet..... This information has been out for well over a decade and yet the veterinary "professional" is acting as if they have never heard of it. What astonishes me is that we, the pet owners, are having to bring the veterinary “profession” to account by ourselves. This continues because pet owners are manipulated into it by veterinarians’ deceptive and unsolicited reminder letters, this is unethical and fraud to say the least. We pet owners have to protect our pets and put a stop to these annual vaccines. I feel so bad for the pets who's owners are being manipulated into doing medical procedures on their pets that is of no benefit to them yet it puts them at risk of adverse reactions and leaves them with a over -stimulated immune system.... The veterinary profession will face a loss of credibility when pet owners discover crucial information about revaccination has been withheld from them for years. There are serious questions about professional responsibility and competence, transparency and accountability, ethical conduct, abuse of authority, and betrayal of trust that must be answered.

| I had both my dogs vaccinated as puppies, then waited at least 3 yrs to have them revaccinated. I told my vet about what I've read about vaccines, and he just said do not trust everything you read on the internet, and just because a few vets believe in immunity for life does not make it true. Parvo is bad in our area, I asked him if he ever seen a adult dog die of this virus? He said he has seen one at the age of 2 died of parvo. I am not planning on giving my dogs anymore vaccines, however would consider having Titers done, to make sure their bodies are protected, and they are not at risk of any of these major, common illness's .I should also add our vet hospital is AAHA the only one in the whole county.

"What are the ethical and legal implications if vets continue to insist their clients unnecessarily revaccinate their dogs annually or triennially with core MLV vaccines? These recommendations are not evidence-based. It is not ethical practice to urge clients to have medical interventions for their pets that are not needed and which may cause harm – Ronald Schultz calls this “an unacceptable medical procedure”. I'm glad to see your making your own decisions for your pet. I would seriously look into getting a better informed vet if I where you. Your pets health is at risk if this vet has anything to say about it...Good luck.

This is not something like food or many of the other stuff where you can find lots of opinions on the internet many of which are just that... opinions, with nothing to back them up. Which is fine. It's completely understandable why many vets don't like the internet, or like clients coming in and telling them what they read off the web... because there are a lot of stupid ppl out there who try home remedies only to have it backfire and end up bringing their pet in for the vet to fix problems that they just made worse. So yeah things like that, I can understand why vets would advise "don't believe everything you read". But this (vaccines) is well studied FACTS. And any vet who is doing yearly vaccines still is out to make money or is ignorant to the science. Plain and simple. Quote:
