| Acana Dog Food Does anyone use this brand~? Which one do you use~? Recently, I decided to switch my dog's food and found this brand. They didn't have it for small breeds, but got the Prairie version with Chicken. Do any of you all switch foods very often~? Also, does Acana dog food cause bloody stools~? Has anyone experienced this~? |

| I switched Riley over to ACANA cold turkey when he was about 8 months old... He just turned 2-years old... I have tried other kibble, but have always gone back to ACANA. I Love it for him and he really thrives.... Right now he is on the ACANA/Pacifica but he has eaten all the grain free formulas and I have never had any problems. |

| From what I have read Acana is a very good dog food. Many people love it for their Yorkies. I feed raw so I have never tired it. If you are dealing with loose bloody stools you may have switched over too quickly. Back off and just add a small amount at a time to your dog's diet. |

| I just posted this on the other thread you replied on: How is your pumpkin doing?? A food could possibly cause bloody stools if there is an allergy or intolerance but I think that it is usually accompanied by vomiting and/or diarrhea, as well. I just did a Google and found this: Dog Blood in Stool | Dog Health Blood in Stool Hoping he is doing better....!! Keep us posted! |
