| Herschel's Diet I am new to this site. I found it looking for a raw food recipe for my three year old Yorkshire Terrier. I have read other sites but they all talk about 60 to 100 pound dog recipes. I am hoping that I can get some great raw food recipes and advice on how much to feed and how often daily. Any response will be appreciated. Last edited by Herschel; 06-13-2012 at 07:08 PM. |

| Hello and welcome! There are several members here who feed raw. I think some feed pray model and some feed frozen prepared raw. I can't stand the thought of watching mine knaw on a raw chicken thigh or turkey neck though so I am one of the members who feeds frozen prepared raw I was home cooking but wanted to switch them to raw so I bought a bag of the Nature's Variety Organic Chicken and they loved it. However, it was suggested that I look into Darwin's raw diets so I did and I am awaiting my first order that will arrive here on Friday and we'll see how that one works for them. The NV frozen raw comes in what they call 'medallions' that are about 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick and about as round as a half dollar maybe? I feed each of mine 2 medallions twice a day but you feed according to their weight and activity level. |
