| How often should yorkies poop? My Toby hadn't pooped for three days but he finally pooped today. I was wondering if this is ok or should they be pooping everyday? Should I bring him to the vet to get this checked or am I being too worried? This is the first time this has happened. Any advice is much appreciated! |

| They should poo every day, normally. Is he a puppy? If his poo was normal with nothing foreign in it, I probably wouldn't worry too much. Did his food get changed, or anything new introduced in his diet? But only you know your Yorkie and his habits, so if you have any concern about it, or he is in any way not acting his normal self, then a vet visit or call would be a good idea. It is always better to be safe than sorry.

| Toby is now almost 11 months. I haven't changed anything in his diet, but he wasn't eating for the past day or so. I didn't really take notice to it since he's always been a ridiculously PICKY eater ever since I got him. He sometimes goes a day or two without eating much but later on he usually eats his normal amount. I'll probably go to his vet this weekend just to make sure he's ok. Thank you for the advice! |

YT 1000 Club Member | I wish I could comment more exactly on my two's pooping habits. I have a doggy door, and they are in and out as necessary. One of the downsides of it. Much of the time, they seem to poop when we're out jogging/walking. I suppose they're much like us, constitutionals work ! However, on the highs and lows of their appetites, that happens frequently. Both of mine seem to be somewhat coordinated on that, with them consuming a reasonable ammount for a day or so, then backing off for the same time. Their food is out 24/7 so they aren't under any "controlled" situation there either. They are healthy and energetic, so, I just try to observant, and don't try to change their habits.

| Mostly 2x per day. Sometimes 3 if he's more active and running a lot.

Bella Boo & Diggy Too! Donating GS Member | Both of mine are 3 x a day but they are on easily digested diet so thats why. Before the diet, 2x a day. Id think they are like us, sometimes we just get off. Stress, excitement all that good stuff had a direct impact. If the poo looks healthy, Id think they are fine. Vet visits never hurt but be sure to take a poo sample with ya!

| Khloe will 6 months old this week. Normally she poops twice a day but sometimes 3 times. My 8 year old poops once a day sometimes twice. I hope Khlow gets to once a day. I guess it is the food. They eat different brands. Poor Khloe has a funny tummy. |
