| Diamond issues another recall May 18, 2012 — Diamond Pet Foods has announced yet another voluntary dog food recall involving one more of its products due to possible contamination with Salmonella bacteria. The event was reported by the company in a news release dated May 18, 2012. The recall includes Diamond Naturals Small Breed Adult Dog Lamb and Rice Formula samples, 6 pound and 18 pound bags manufactured on Aug. 26, 2011. Salmonella infections can affect both humans and non-human animals and are the result of ingesting contaminated food. What Products Are Being Recalled? The recall includes Diamond Naturals Small Breed Adult Dog Lamb and Rice Formula with the following bag codes and “Best Before” dates: ■Bag Code DSL0801 26-Aug-2012 ■Bag Code DSL0801 26-Aug-2012 ■Bag Code DSL0801 27-Sept-2012 ■Bag Code DSL0801 18-Oct- 2012 ■Bag Code DSL0801 Samples Where Were the Recalled Products Sold? | Never Ending.... they just keep adding to the list. Diamond Issues Yet Another Dog Food Recall Come to find out, Riley had a bad reaction to the FROMM kibble....I had switched him to. I was feeding Chicken A La Veg... and Pork & Applesause.... He is used to No Grain and lower carb diet and it seems those have several different grains, and more carb heavy than he is used to, in both bags. I have switched him back to Acana and he is thriving once again. Although I would Love to try the grain free FROMM formulas, I don't think I will not be switching for a long time. |

He got ear drops from his vet a week ago friday to clear up the remaining red irritation. He said they were really clean but still red and inflamed and that the ears are like an extension of the skin and because its so dark and damp down in them they can easily harbor bacteria, etc. He's completely clearing all up, now. | |
