| Yorkie needs some FAT My 7 month old yorkie weighs 3.3 # she is very bony. any suggestions for fattening her up. she only eats about 1/2 cup dry Wellness brand food. She was spayed this last monday and then got a bladder infection the day after, so she is on an antibiotic. i put it in a small ball of cheese, she loves it. i also gave her a couple of small bites of turkey burger, she went crazy. i generally do not feed her any people food. will these food items hurt her and are there other food items i can feed her to put some meat on her bones. i lost a yorkie about 12 years ago from pancreatitus so i am very cautious about what i feed her. thanks for any suggestions. |

| I think there was a thread with a recipe on here a little while ago on a similar theme - maybe Satin Balls? It might be worth a search?! Sally x |

My baby who is 9 months old today is also only 3 pounds, 3 ounces and is going thru tests due to a liver problem, but it isn't a liver shunt. We will keep getting her blood tested to see if the count goes up and up and if so then she will need a liver biopsy to see what's going on. | I'd switch her over to either Hill's or Royal Canin whih have amble amounts of dietary fat. Good luck!

| Can't you just feed her more? Or add canned food to her diet? It may just be her build - I'd rather see a lean dog than a fat dog.

But...yeah, I agree with you. I would just give her more food..perhaps more feedings.

| Me too!! If my body was half as good as Jackson's, I'd be set.
