| A little help needed please Hi there... As you know I have my little Norman.. He is 11 weeks old tomorrow 11th may. Hubby has just bought Orijen Kibble for him, and we are really stuck on how much to feed him daily. At the moment he is on Applaws, and we were giving him 36grams a day. Please forgive me if weve been wrong in the amount, but he is a happy chappy and is growing lovley. Hes now weighing about 3Lbs 10 oz. Which I personally think is too big. His daddy only weighs 7lbs and his mummy is of a small build as well. Any help would be very much appreciated Thankyou |

My oscar was 4 pounds @ 12 weeks when i brought him home & he looked perfect. Your puppy will not necessarily be the same size or smaller than his parents. Yorkies come in all shapes and sizes. I feed oscar a little over 1/2 cup per day but he is now 8 months old . I think a young puppy should probably get about 3/4 cup per day.

| My baby is not yet 4 pounds and is 5 months old. She eats Orijen and only eats less than 1/2 cup/day. |

a half cup = 114 grams you want to give 1/2 in the morning & 1/2 in the afternoon. It is easier for the puppy this way if you think he is still hungry you can give him a little more

| Khloe is 5 months old and weight is 3 pounds 4 ozs. I can't get her to eat more than 1/3 or 1/4 cup a day. I was mixing in chicken breast too but I decided to stop that this morning. She will eat the dry kibble just no more that 1/3 cup. |

| No hes not having problems at all. Hubby just wants the best for him. Although personally I think Applaws was definatly ok for him. We just wernt sure what amount to feed him. As the measuring and feeding guide on the back is complicated. And Hub rung applaws and they didnt have a clue on how much to feed him either. I think for an easier Option for him he got the Orijen because it had a better guide on the back. And we still dont get it.. Norman is loving life at the moment. And is a bit of a nuttter.. So fits in well with uslot Last edited by debfluff; 05-11-2012 at 11:10 AM. |
