| Diamond Pet Foods is voluntarily recalling a third type of dog food Pet food recall affects consumers in Md., Va., and 10 other states - WTOP.com "The company had already announced that it was recalling batches of its Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover's Soul Adult Light Formula and Diamond Naturals Lamb Meal & Rice products." Now, Diamond Puppy Formula is being recalled because of salmonella concerns. List of recalls from Diamond's site: http://www.diamondpet.com/information/

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | Yeah the puppy formula was recalled on the 30th. its very unfortunate. If Diamond knows something is wrong with these foods they should publicly be recalling ALL of them. Diamond Pet Foods Expands Voluntary Recall

| Okay, this worries me... I use 4Health puppy food, but from what I understand it's manufactured by Diamond. I can't find any info as to whether or not it's been recalled. |

| It is manufactured by Diamond, but you'd have to check to see which Diamond plant it came from. The issues have been with the SC plant. Since you're in NY, I would assume it came from the SC plant. Haven't seen a recall yet on the specific 4Health food you are using though.

How do check to see which plant it come from. Mine are on TOTW and I watching this closely, trying to figure out what to do when this bag runs out. It took a long time to get them on something they would eat and that they liked. | |

| I would say that since you live in Florida, unless you bought it online it probably was made at the SC plant. You can contact Diamond to find out. There are numbers on the bag (lot #s, etc) that they will be able to use to tell you.

Thank you for contacting us directly, and for your concern. Diamond Pet Foods did recall a batch of Diamond Naturals Lamb Meal & Rice, Diamond Puppy and Chicken Soup for the Pet Lovers Soul Adult Light Dog food. This was being done as a precautionary measure, as the product has the potential to be contaminated with salmonella. No illnesses have been reported. Taste of the Wild is not under any current recall. We did want to be overly cautious in light of the recall and we had decided to suspend shipments of our products till more information is available. We are working closely with the FDA, and were awaiting their call to be able to release the products that our Distributors are holding. Again, we just want to be overly cautious and holding all food. Over the past couple of weeks, we began shipping product from our Missouri Facility to our distributors in your area, so you should begin seeing the product returning to the store shelves. Also, we have released product from the South Carolina facility that has been cleared the FDA additional testing. I apologize for the inconvenience. Sincerely, Cheri Customer Service They gave me a crap reply that didn't answer my question. So I called them. The woman I spoke with said that the dry cat food (what my cat eats) is made in the SC plant but is not under recall. So they are not recalling all the foods made there but they did stop shipment, AND they did remove ALL their products from their distributors according to another letter someone else received. Its just not right.

At least they are telling people instead of pretending a problem doesn't exist.

| I feed my cats Blue Buffalo Indoor- It took me years to find the right one for Mika (14 now and Tallulah is 12). I know FROMM has never had a recall- Not sure about other brands. I am feeding it to Buddy and Roxy. Cozy and Lucy will be going once they reach their targets weights- Right now they are eating Wellness Healthy Weight. I know FROMM and Honest kitchen (no recalls either) make cat food.

For some reason, i don't like Blue Buffalo. I don't know why. I must have heard or read something a while ago, but i honestly don't remember what it was so i have absolutely no basis for my dislike. I'll look into Fromm.
