| Neutering, weight gain and aggression On December 16, 2011, we had our male yorkie, Reggie, neutered at 6 years old. Shortly after that my usually finicky eater became a dog that is always hungry, gobbles his food (he has gained 1.5 pounds for the first time in his adult life). I feed a measured amount of food to both of my dogs and his weight still continues to increase a little. Also, he has recently started showing aggression to other dogs that he didn't use to do. He even gets into scraps with my female and they have never done that. I read a little bit about it and found a couple of articles mentioning those symptoms as part of hypothyroidism. Does anyone have any experience with any of this and could offer some advice/suggestions before I take him to the vet for bloodwork, etc to make sure he is ok medically? Thanks for any help, Ruth |

| I would say it's time for some blood work as these are symptoms of both thyroid problems & cushings & both are serious. |
