| Tooth Care Anyone recommend chews, sprays, or water additives? Like greenies, CET dental chews, Four Paw water additives, tarter sprays etc? Also do bully sticks and rawhides or other jerky chews help remove tarter? Thanks in advance for any advice |

| Watch out for most of the water additives - a few contain xyloitil, which is toxic to dogs. They claim it's safe in small amounts but I don't like them. The only water additive proven to work and approved by the VOHC is HealthyMouth - they have a gel and a water additive. Both have had clinical trials. I like Petzlife, even though it has some alchohol in it as an ingredient, I don't feel it's enough to harm much of anything. I also use CET toothpaste and CET chews. I don't really like Greenies, Dentastix, etc. And yup, bully sticks, Himalayan chews, etc, will help keep teeth clean.

| I like CET things. Any bone really is pretty good for there teeth. Callie chews bully bones a lot and I brush her teeth weekly and she has yet to have to have a dental at almost 5 years old. I don't like greenies and would never use them due to previous problems with them that they say they have fixed but I wouldn't chance it.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I use Petzlife, which is a spray that is said to soften tartar, and also bully sticks, which I think helps scrape the tartar away.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I use CET chews (the med size), raw bones, and some other various chewy/teethy things. I used to use PlaqueOff, and I think it worked some...but I think the chewing stuff works even better.
